October 24, 2015 - "Therapy for Children Diagnosed with ASD - Parent & Professional Perspectives"
(High Functioning Children with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder require therapeutic intervention that includes a unique balance of direct support, parent consultation and collaboration with others. Clinicians are expected to understand the individual profiles of these children and to navigate complicated paths of treatment. Parents seek an understanding of how therapy can effect true change in the lives of their child and family members. In this workshop, we will discuss the components for an effective course of therapy with equal emphasis on parent and professional perspectives.)
